Privacy, plainly stated

Your IMSCC bytes are inspected in your browser. Cartridge Compass does not upload, retain, or sell course files.

Anonymous product events

The application records exactly four aggregate funnel events: sample loaded, file selected, preflight completed, and report downloaded. The only additional value is a fixed picker, drop, or sample source category where the event requires it. The Analytics Engine row uses the public site URL as its fixed index and stores only the event category, source category, and a count of one.

Both browser and collector reject file names, paths, titles, issue counts, report results, manifest text, course content, arbitrary strings, unknown event names, and extra properties. Cross-origin browser submissions are rejected by the collector.

Local reports

If you download a JSON report, the browser creates it locally. That report can contain the selected file name, package paths, manifest identifiers, and findings because those details are useful to the person inspecting the cartridge. Review the file before moving or sharing it; Cartridge Compass does not receive a copy.

Your responsibility

Only inspect cartridges that you own or are authorized to use. A report is an independent preflight aid, not an import guarantee, standards certification, or endorsement by an LMS vendor or 1EdTech.
