Authorized packages only

Use Cartridge Compass only with cartridges you own or are permitted to inspect. You are responsible for following applicable licenses, institutional policies, confidentiality obligations, and laws. Do not use the tool to obtain or disclose content without authorization.

A limited preflight tool

The tool reports observations from the selected archive and manifest. It does not repair files, authenticate with platforms, perform a complete standards conformance test, or promise compatibility with any LMS. A report should be followed by a controlled import into a non-production sandbox for the intended platform and version.

No warranty

Cartridge Compass is provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or successful import. Archive limits and checks reduce risk but cannot identify every malformed, malicious, inaccessible, or vendor-specific condition. Keep backups and independently verify important results.

Independent status

Cartridge Compass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by 1EdTech, an LMS vendor, or another standards body. References to standards and products describe interoperability context only. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Local data handling

Selected package bytes remain in the browser. The fixed anonymous measurement contract is described in the Privacy notice. You remain responsible for files and reports stored on your device and for deciding whether they may be shared.
